Traditional Yoga

Traditional Yoga Focusing on the breath as a guide and transformative tool. This class begins with Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar). This is a traditional way  to begin a practice following the breath in a vinyasa style moving through a back bend and a downward dog. This entails weight bearing on the wrists. if you are unfamilar with Sun Salutations or are unable to bear weight on your wrists please speak with the teacher prior to class for modifications. After warming up with sun salutes we begin a standing sequence, a seatwed sequence, a closing sequence and breath work practice (Pranayama) and a meditation practice, followed by a rest (savasana). This is a moderate beginners and all levels practice)

Modern style Yoga based on a quiet contemplative practice. Yin Yoga works deeply into our body with passive longer held poses. Yin Yoga focuses on the deeper tissues of our body, our connective tissues and joints. While also creating a reflective and meditative practice. This is a gentle practice great for beginners or anyone looking for a slow moving practice.

Traditional Yoga Focusing on the breath as a guide and transformative tool. Ashtanga (8limbs) Unlike conventional Guided Yoga classes, this is a Non Led Class designed to help students learn a sequenced practice & deepen their practice, based on the Sequences designed by Sri.K.Pattabhi Jois. Teachers will help students customize a sequenced practice allowing students to draw from the full practice as a place to begin. Students with an established practice and new students will also be guided through hands on adjustments and assists to help there pratice in a therapeutic and alignment oriented environment.
